For those travelling anywhere from the mainland to Langkawi, you should head over to the ferry jetty terminal in Kuala Kedah or the one in Kuala Perlis. Exit at Alor Setar Selatan if you're on the North South Expressway and follow the ample signages along the way. The journey from Kuala Lumpur will take approximately 6 hours.

Private car parks in the vicinity of the jettys are available at the minimum cost of RM15.00 per day. Vehicles can also be cargoed over to the island.
