Official Rules and Regulations  
All plays are governed by the USGA and Royal & St. Andrews Golf Club Rules of Golf and the following Local Rules

LOCAL RULES

1. OUT OF BOUNDS (Rules 27-1)
a. Beyond the perimeter fence as indicated by white posts
b. As defined by white stakes and oil lines
c. Beyond the maintenance road on the right of Hole #13 as defined by white line

2. WATER HAZARDS (Rules 26-1 (a), (b) )
Areas defined by yellow stakes and oil lines

3. LATERAL WATER HAZARDS (Rules 26-1 (a), (b), (c) )
a. Areas defined by red stakes and oil lines
b. 1st & 7th Hole – in or beyond the drain to the left of the hole
c. 14th, 15th & 16th Hole – in or beyond the drain to the right of the hole

4. IMMOVABLE OBSTRUCTIONS (Rules 24-2)
These include signposts, sprinkler heads, tee-box markers, valve boxes, water hazard stakes, sump covers, distance markers, buggy track and all metalled roads

5. INTEGRAL PART OF THE COURSE
Includes flower beds, fencing bordering the course, pump house, all stones, concrete walls and other artificial sides and edges of all water hazards on the course. The ball must be played as it lies or declared unplayable. (Rule 28)

6. GROUND UNDER REPAIR
These include tyre marks, greenkeeper hazards, ant hills, animal burrows and areas demarcated by GUR sign.

7. STAKED TREES
A ball lying within the area of intended swing of a staked tree must be lifted and dropped within one club length from the nearest point of relief without penalty.

8. SIREN SIGNAL
a. Play temporarily suspended – a series of 20 second blasts
b. Play resumed – a series of 5 second blasts
c. Play abandoned – a continuous blast of about 60 seconds

CLUB RULES
1. Please observe the rules of etiquette and decorum posted
2. The course marshals on duty have the responsibility to keep play moving at a reasonable speed and they
    have the complete authority to ask any player to speed up play or let the faster group to pass through
3. Buggies must not be driven by persons under 15 years of age
4. Buggies are not allowed on the rough and apron areas
5. Buggies are not permitted outside the course

CONDUCT
1. Rude, abusive or disorderly conduct is absolutely forbidden
2. All players must be suitably attired
3. Each player to have his/her own bag and clubs, sharing of clubs is not permitted
4. Only players are allowed on the course
5. Please replace divots, repair ball marks, rake bunkers and keep the course clean
6. Players are expected to complete each nine (9) holes in approximately 2 hours 10 minutes with a break of
    five (5) minutes in between the nines
